JOB DESCRIPTION
The Iraq Consultant’s role will be to support all Altai operations in Iraq. The position is based in Erbil and covers all Iraq. The tasks will include:
- Participation to whole project cycles: timeline, establishment of research methodology, planning of field data collection, analysis and report writing
- Quantitative and qualitative data collection through fieldwork interviews in various regions of Iraq (periods of one week to 10 days in various provinces of Iraq)
- Management of teams of local consultants, interviewers and enumerators
- Arrangement of logistics for field missions
- Facilitation of various types of interviews: key informant interviews (with local authorities, companies, development actors, key social actors, etc.), focus group discussions, workshops
- Analysis of data
- Participation to report writing and presentations

Qualifications & Â Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master-level university education
- Professional level in English, spoken and written
- Professional level in Arabic, spoken and written
- Good command of Microsoft Office (World, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Minimum of three years of professional experience (for example in evaluations and research for development project, at NGOs, consultancy companies, think tanks or at international organizations)
- Experience conducting fieldwork (qualitative research, surveys, evaluations, etc.) in various regions of Iraq
- Knowledge of and ability to navigate social, economic and political dynamics in Iraq
- Willing and able to spend significant periods in work travels in all governorates in Iraq

CONDITIONS
- Monthly compensation dependent on qualifications and experience, with pay increases based on performance
- Renewable 1 year contract
- All costs covered during work travels
