Position Overview And Primary Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)

Alutiiq Essential Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an exciting opening for a Logistician/Courier. T he Logistician will analyze and coordinate IRM IT logistics in Iraq. He/She will support IRM operations for the total life cycle of IT products and ancillary equipment under IRM control. Phases supported will include acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, inventory, and disposal of equipment. The Logistician will travel periodically to off-site locations to perform inventory of IRM assets. The Logistician will, at times, act as a Courier under the Information Resource Management Information Technology Services (IRM ITS) contract.

  • Responsible for the receipt and issuance of all equipment.
  • The Logistician will perform Courier duties. The courier work is 25% of the position’s responsibilities.
  • As the Courier, the incumbent will monitor and track all packages and computers and systems (hardware and software) as identified by the IMO and provide tracking updates on the equipment/materials.
  • Monitor, support, and participate in Mission-wide inventory control activities, including supporting inventory activities at all Mission work sites.
  • Prepare all documentation and schedule assets required to perform pouch movements.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years’ work-related experience.
  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with supply chain strategies, performance measurements for supply chain and product and process design for supply chain management, as it pertains to logistics and inventory.
  • Experience working in an austere environment.
  • Experience working with the Department of State with an understanding of rules and regulations pertaining to the handling of sensitive equipment.
  • Knowledge of materials, tools, and methods common to the trade.
  • Knowledge of Department of State inventory and security requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Handle and support Courier and packing loads safely.
  • Knowledge of proper use and operation of forklifts.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) application.
