Description

The Engineering, Integration and Operations business area of Leidos has an opening for an ATCALS and C2 Lead Technician. Working at a site or sites in southwest Asia, the appointed individual assigned to this must be qualified to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of standard ground radar and airfield systems. This includes various equipment platforms such as air traffic control radars, ground aircraft control and warning radar systems, air traffic control radios, meteorological systems, and navigational aid systems.

They are tasked with resolving installation, repair, and modification issues related to ATCALS (Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems) and C2 equipment. Utilizing line-of-sight and tropospheric scatter techniques, they conduct tests to restore and maintain systems. Layout drawings, schematics, and pictorial diagrams are employed to address maintenance problems and ensure proper equipment positioning.

The designee analyzes the construction and operating characteristics of equipment to identify sources of malfunction. They perform intricate alignment and calibration procedures to maximize operating efficiency. Ensuring compliance with maintenance management publications and procedures, the designee enforces safety standards for system maintenance activities. Additionally, they check installed and repaired components for compliance with technical publications, maintain inspection and maintenance records, and record meter readings and other relevant data in equipment logs. The completion of maintenance data collection forms and the requisition, accountability, and turnover of supplies and materials are also part of their responsibilities.

Maintain systems are such as DME, ILS, MMLS, MPN-23, UPS, RCSU-2238, TACAN, TRN-44, VOR, RSI/RCI or equivalent monitoring equipment, FMQ-19, FMQ-23, Micro-EARTS, Multi Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT), NRTD, STARS, STRAP, TDX-2000, MARK IVB, NEXION, Terminal Advisory System (TAS), GPN-27(or 20), MPN-25, TPS-75, UPX-27, UPX-37, UPX-44A, CM-200, CM-300, GRC-171 & 211, GRR-23/24, PCAS, GRT-21/22, ETVS, Liberty Star, PL-2000DT, PRC-117, RT-1319, TRC-214, TRC-176, URC-200, ATIS, DVRS, TTRS, but not be limited to those listed in Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment, ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support Equipment.

Basic Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED. Relevant Associate’s degree preferred. Formal electronics training such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year electronics apprentice program with experience in electronics equipment the technician will maintain.

Experience: Six (6) years of recent, relevant, and practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain and oversee. Shall have six (6) years’ experience working with/on electronic systems.

Certifications: Maintaining COMSEC/IP networking equipment requires IAT Level II baseline certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 – $117,500.00
