Summary

Provide aviation support services to the U.S. Department of State, DoS and Bureau of Diplomatic Security, DS under the oversight of the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office of Aviation, INLA. The mission encompasses rotary and fixed wing aircraft operations in Western Asia and surrounding regions. Coordinate Department of Defense, DOD, and other members of Intelligence Community, IC in development of intelligence products and Force Protection, FP measures that support the protection of personnel and aviation operations. Reports to the Force Protection and Intelligence FP-I Supervisor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Generate intelligence summaries and assessments for developing FP, Personnel Recovery (PR), and Operational Security, OPSEC measures.
  • Present oral and or written intelligence analysis to aircrew, Senior Aviation Advisor, SAA, and Site program leadership to enhance force protection, operational planning, and aviation risk management.
  • Develop and disseminate an OSINT summary derived from the US Embassy RSOs daily Air Threat Brief, regional news networks, and social media posts.
  • Develop and disseminate detailed intelligence briefings of significant actions, SIGACTS or anomalies affecting the DOS, Chief of Mission, and SAA rotary or fixed wing operations, and INLA personnel, facilities, or resources.
  • Develop and disseminate intelligence summaries, INTSUM, situational reports, SITREP, and SPOT reports SPOTREP according to performance work statement PWS.
  • Develop and update applicable Program Information and Intelligence Requirements PIIR.
  • Develop a Request for Information RIF list based on Priority Intelligence Requirements PIRs as effective response measures to drone, rocket, or ground attacks.
  • Advise, Assist, Teach best intelligence analysis practices to Department of State INLA SAA, RSO, and DOD PR.
  • Deliver personnel arrival threat briefs, updates to the Forward Operating Base FOB FP posture, and all threats that impact air wing operations.
  • Maintain 100 percent completion of Missing Person Information Cards on all assigned personnel. – Coordinate and conduct range operations to qualify assigned personnel on assigned weapons IAW with RSO requirements.
  • Maintain accurate weapons qualifications documents for all assigned personnel.
  • Support badging of assigned personnel as the Subject Matter Expert, SME on security requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Department of State key stake holders, and Intelligence Community, IC as liaison to FP-I matters.
  • Perform temporary deployments to contingency locations as directed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain a U.S SECRET clearance.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE Required

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university and or combination of military education and related civilian experience.
  • Ten years of experience in planning and performing intelligence operations, supporting ground combat arms operations air activities, security operations.
  • Eight years of experience in intelligence operations against foreign terrorist organizations FTO and or transnational criminal organizations TCO.
  • Five years of experience in security and intelligence operations in the Middle East and Central Asia theaters, or similar theaters of operations.

Preferred

  • CMF 35F Intelligence Analyst or 18F Intelligence Sergeant MOS series or another military or commercial equivalent.
  • Graduate of military or civilian intelligence schools.
  • Completion of associated supported weapons school and the Diplomatic Security Basic Field Firearms Officer Course, BFFOC before our incident to assignment.
  • Prior military experience in counterterrorism and or contingency operations as an analyst and or operator.
  • Prior experience supporting OCONUS State Department aviation operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, handling and qualifications with M-4 and Glock-19 weapons IAW with RSO policies and guidelines.
