Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for Wellwork Supervisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra rotational 5×3

  • Mentor a team of wellwork personnel in a safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound manner to execute work
  • Execute all wellwork activities performed at West Qurna 1 field by ensuring wellwork activities are integrated in accordance with the Production Unit Asset Leadership team’s wellwork plans
  • Responsible and accountable for communicating FOD expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security
  • Mentor Wellwork Supervisors on their roles and responsibilities to help foster and develop strong leadership principles within the organization
  • Review/Approve wellwork procedures for operational effectiveness, consistency with management philosophy, practicality, and safety
  • Maintain communications with Operations Department Manager, Wellwork Superintendents and senior Production Operations personnel to inform and consult about operations and major issues
  • Effectively communicate with Wellwork Superintendent, wellwork supervisors, Subsurface Engineers, FOD functional and contracting support groups
  • Participate in meetings to steward wellwork Safety, Production, Budget and wellwork performance
  • Participate in site Emergency Response activities
  • Ensure role in incident response as per the Emergency Response Manual
  • Initiate and participate in Site Emergency Drills to raise awareness of Emergency Response procedures, and conduct team debriefs on conclusion of the drills
  • Review deviation to approved work procedures as per Management of Change and work approval process
  • Report incidents both internally and externally (as per the Reporting Matrix) and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines
  • Use tools to minimize wellwork related downtime, fluctuations in volumes and regain idle capacity
  • Provide input to the development of wellwork service contracts
  • Work to improve wellwork Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with subsurface engineering

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10- years plus experience in Wellwork – required
  • 5 plus years as a Wellwork Supervisor
  • Completed secondary education – preferred
  • Proven mentoring skills
  • Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
  • Effectively pre-planning of jobs from start to completion
  • Advanced knowledge for rig and rigless jobs (perf, stim, logging, and milling etc.)
  • Ability to handle multiple job tasks simultaneously
  • Highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities.
  • Good understanding of flowline and choke operations
  • Understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes. (Stepback 5×5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment
