Job Description

System Administrator – Information Management Specialist

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance or the ability to obtain a TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance to be considered.

The System Administrator – Information Management Specialist is a key role responsible for providing expert-level support for both unclassified and classified systems. This position entails overseeing all facets of an enterprise network, including hardware, software, and services to support WANs, MANs, and LANs. The role requires travel to off-site locations as necessary, and specific responsibilities may vary by location.

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for System Administrator – Information Management Specialist: Pay commensurate with experience.

System Administrator – Information Management Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Testing, installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and upgrading various aspects of an enterprise network.
  • Analyzing and defining network requirements and documenting basic network architecture.
  • Monitoring network workload capacity and performance and diagnosing/resolving network issues.
  • Developing network backup and recovery procedures and ensuring adherence to information security policies.
  • Serving as primary point of contact for mobile device management, user support, and multimedia setup/support.
  • Providing on-site support and data gathering for remote technicians from diverse backgrounds.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

System Administrator – Information Management Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Minimum associate’s degree in information technology (IT) related field and two years’ experience in systems administration – OR – four years’ experience in systems administration.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA Windows Server 2016) or equivalent.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or similar networking certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or similar.
  • CompTIA Cloud+ certification desired.
  • CompTIA A+ certification desired.
  • Previous Help Desk or Customer Support experience required.
  • Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Cryptographic Access required.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
