IRC225912 – QA/QC SUPERINTENDENT

At Eni, we are looking for a QA/QC Superintendent within Eni Iraq B.V. in Basra, Iraq. You will be overseeing quality levels of multidisciplinary works during the construction, commissioning and start-up phases, monitoring and implementing site quality assurance and quality control systems, in compliance with applicable quality standards and specifications, HSE requirements and project schedule.

As a member of the Development (Construction/Commissioning) department you will be responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure proper installation
  • Supporting the Construction and Commissioning departments, verifying that all works (mechanical, electrical, painting, instrumentation and telecommunications) are performed in compliance with project drawings, specifications and applicable international codes and standards
  • Verifying that equipment and bulk materials are certified and in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
  • Provision of technical support, troubleshooting and technical solutions
  • Supervising all activities related to quality control and quality assurance of inspection of work packages completed (i.e. all welding and bolt-up assemblies)
  • Interfacing with contractor engaged in construction, installation and commissioning to ensure that quality control and company quality requirements are achieved
  • Work inspection to ensure conformance with specifications defined in the job package
  • FAT, SAT inspections, as per contractual schedule, proposing measures to mitigate delays
  • Inspection of all assembled test packages and coordination of testing and 3rd party inspection (i.e. NDE) of the completed work
  • Ensuring that quality issues are identified and corrected through the construction repair process
  • Ensuring works punch lists are properly detected, integrated in the Master Punch List Register and cleared for the required certificates (Ready for Commissioning/Ready for Start Up/Handover)
  • Management of engineering, deviation, technical and site queries, NCR and Punch List
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with Iraqi Statutory Health, Safety and Environment regulations, as well as with company’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Safety Management systems
  • Ensuring that Eni Iraq B.V. corporate Health, Safety and Environment Policy is included in all Contracts.

This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

  • High School Diploma and preferably Engineering Technical Degree
  • Extensive experience in Oil and Gas projects
  • In-depth knowledge of welding Processes, NDE practices and materials
  • Proof of any certification obtained required (ASMP, EPIA, LEVEL 2 VP, LEVEL 2 RT FILM INTERPRETATION, AWSCWI, AWSAWI, API 510, API 570 and/or any other credentials)
  • Knowledge of ASME Sec. I, ASME Sec. II, ASME Sec. VIII, ASME Sec. IX, ASME B31.1, & ASME B31.3.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC construction management systems, international standards and quality management
  • Knowledge of documentation management for construction, commissioning and start-up phases
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Package, mechanical completion management software preferred
  • Facilities: basic knowledge of main process schemes for oil and gas treatment, applicable standard and specifications, plants construction and commissioning
  • HSE: basic knowledge of construction and commissioning HSE requirements and standards implementation
  • Fluent in English language (written and spoken).
