Justice between men and women officer

Job Purpose

As part of the Oxfam Justice between Men and women team in Iraq, the Justice between Men and women Officer will be responsible for supporting activities related to the Justice between Men and women Justice programming in Salah Al-Din and Anbar and across all project locations. The Justice between men and women Officers will also support in administrative and logistics management of the programs.

Position Overview

The Justice between men and women Officers will play a key role in the FEMINACT project, which aims to address food insecurity in Iraq through sustainable agricultural development with a focus on women and youth. The Justice between Men and women Officer will ensure the integration of Justice between men and women perspectives in all project activities and promote Justice between men and women equality and women’s empowerment across the project’s implementation areas.

Key Responsibilities

Justice between men and women Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct Justice between men and women analyses to identify barriers and opportunities for women’s and youth’s participation in agriculture.
  • Develop and implement a Justice between men and women strategy for the project, ensuring alignment with FEMINACT’s goals and objectives.

Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver Justice between men and women -sensitive training programs for project staff, partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for women and youth in sustainable agricultural practices and leadership.

Monitoring And Evaluation

  • Develop Justice between men and women -sensitive indicators and tools for monitoring and evaluating project activities.
  • Ensure the collection and analysis of sex-disaggregated data to assess the impact of the project on different Justice between men and women groups.

Community Engagement And Advocacy

  • Work with local women’s organizations, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote Justice between men and women equality and women’s rights.
  • Facilitate community dialogues and awareness-raising campaigns on the importance of Justice between men and women equality in agriculture and climate resilience.

Collaboration And Partnership

  • Collaborate with consortium partners to ensure coordinated and comprehensive Justice between men and women interventions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders working on Justice between men and women issues in the project areas.

Reporting And Documentation

  • Prepare regular reports on Justice between men and women related activities, achievements, and challenges for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to Justice between men and women equality and women’s empowerment.

Essential

skills, experience and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in justice between men and women Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Justice between men and women programming, preferably in the context of agricultural development or climate change.
  • Experience working with international NGOs, government agencies, or community-based organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Justice between men and women issues and Justice between men and women mainstreaming in development projects.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation of activities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, Kurdish (written and spoken).
