Overview

Schedule: Office Working Hours (Work Schedule 6/1; potential remote working for senior roles one week in 5 or 6 TBD)

Location: Basra Region, Iraq (Accommodation, food, and transportation provided by the company)

Project Duration: 24-30 months

The Technical Training Coordinator will work within a new multi-energy project experiencing rapid growth to meet the manpower needs of four projects in various development stages. The workforce comprises a diverse mix of expatriates, , and contractors. The role requires establishing a solid HR structure and strong HR management to provide effective support to the business and deliver essential HR back office and front office services in a dynamic and challenging environment.

This role is essential in supporting the organization’s human resources development and competency enhancement, ensuring the successful delivery of training programs, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the multi-energy project.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, specifically in Operation & Maintenance fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a high level of discretion and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent command of the English (both spoken and written).

Main Accountabilities

  • Monitor and implement training programs, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and goals.
  • Participate in developing the training budget and monitoring training-related expenditures.
  • Coordinate with external training providers to organize training sessions, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the effective delivery of content.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of all training programs and work closely with line managers to assess and address training needs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual training reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the preparation and execution of training plans for the affiliate, including developing nationalization initiatives.
  • Conduct training evaluations and manage on-the-job training initiatives to enhance workforce skills and capabilities.
  • Follow up on training actions outlined in individual development plans, ensuring timely completion and addressing any gaps.
  • Oversee all administrative and logistical arrangements related to the training of operators and maintenance technicians.
  • Lead the planning and execution of all training campaigns, ensuring optimal participation and outcomes.
  • Take charge of the induction process for new hires, providing comprehensive and onboarding.
  • Review and assist in preparing quarterly, annual, and any other required reports related to content.
  • Act as the supervisor of the training platform, providing training and induction for staff on its use.
  • Support additional staff development activities, offering guidance and resources as needed.
  • Design and order necessary resources and materials needed for training sessions to ensure effective delivery.
