As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The Audio Visual/Multimedia Technician plays a crucial role in providing expert-level support for audiovisual (A/V), Digital Video Conference (DVC) equipment, sound systems, and other multimedia equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of conferencing and multimedia services for customers and coordinating the technical setup and operation of all audio-visual equipment and electronic programming for the United States Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Starting Salary Range for Audio Visual/Multimedia Technician: Pay commensurate with experience.

Audio Visual/Multimedia Technician Responsibilities Include:

• Technical understanding of A/V and Information Technology (IT) systems
• Up-to-date awareness of A/V technologies and their functions
• Expertise in DVC and broadcast systems
• Extensive knowledge of the architecture, cabling, and control system requirements of A/V technologies
• Plan, lead, and coordinate special projects to enhance audio-visual capabilities and infrastructure
• Oversee and manage all aspects of conferencing and multimedia services for customers
• Provide technical support to the Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC) Training Center
• Monitor and coordinate improvements/upgrades to A/V delivery methods and systems
• Create proposals and provide quotes for projects
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Audio Visual/Multimedia Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or minimum 5 years of previous experience in A/V support or a highly technical field
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
• Audio Visual or Professional Conferencing Certification such as CEDIA or equivalent is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex A/V systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to research, evaluate, and test new A/V technologies
• Clearance Level Required: Secret
• Ability to pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
