B&CE Technical Officer

Location – Erbil, Iraq – 12 weeks on/3 weeks off

Must be a UK Citizen with an existing unbroken residency of more than 5 years in the UK or hold an existing security clearance.

The Role

We seek an experienced Building and Construction Technical Officer to overseeing projects across Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites in Iraq, Oman, UAE, and Bahrain.

Responsibilities

• Producing contracts, designs, and specifications
• Managing project risk and ensuring HSE and CDM 2015 compliance
• Conducting site inspections for quality, safety, and progress
• Responsibility for building and civil engineering layouts
• Assist in designing mechanical and electrical engineering elements
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents
• Preparing cost estimates and option studies
• Overseeing technical issue resolution and repairs
• Managing personnel, equipment, and resources
• Developing new work proposals and supervising site surveys
• Using commercial software for design, planning, and reporting
• Ensuring legislative compliance and high safety standards

What We Need

Minimum HND in Construction related discipline, together with proven relevant experience

Practical quantifiable experience in all aspects of Building and Civil engineering installations

Experience in all aspects of construction site management

Hold valid DE certification of relevant discipline

Hold a valid (3-day standard) First Aid certificate

Experience of Managing Sub-Contractors on UK MOD estates on deployed operations
