For our “Siemens Energy Gas Services Middle East Procurement Team” we are looking for a “Buying Professional” who will be reporting to head of department.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Efficiently implements operational purchasing processes for all Service Projects in Iraq in full alignment with responsible Country Project Procurement Manager
• Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials & services in accordance with demand
• Ensures items & services are delivered on time and expedited were vital
• Communicates with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and advances risks to relevant partners
• Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Intensifies findings to relevant collaborators and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary
• Maintains and updates supplier master data to ensure that the database accurate and up to date
• Negotiates prices and payment terms (low-threshold transactions)
• Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
• Communicates efficiently and expertly with internal and external partners
• Actively seeks process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. bundling of demands, qualification of new suppliers etc.)

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronic Engineering & Mechanical Engineering & Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, engineering, and/or operations functions
• Very good command of English & Arabic
• Advanced level of knowledge on MS office programs
• Excellent communication and collaboration ability with internal & external partners
