Responsibilities
- Receive and verify all electrical equipment, ensuring conformity to project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate and schedule equipment deliveries to the site, planning and managing logistics for all electrical equipment.
- Develop and implement preservation plans for electrical equipment on-site, ensuring proper maintenance until installation.
- Supervise the installation of all electrical equipment.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure site readiness, including foundation preparation and electrical interfaces.
- Be proactive in addressing potential issues and ensuring smooth installation processes.
- Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures during equipment installation, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate electrical construction activities, resolving any on-site technical issues.
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring all systems meet performance criteria.
- Prepare and manage the hand-over of electrical systems, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Interface between interdisciplinary departments and within international teams, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including technical reports and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, providing technical support as needed.
- Monitor a team of contractor’s electrical technicians, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Monitor and control project costs related to electrical work, identifying, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Develop and manage electrical work schedules, ensuring timely completion of all electrical activities.
- Assist in the procurement of electrical equipment and materials, reviewing vendor documentation for compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical activities, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Manage changes to electrical systems and documentation, evaluating and approving change requests.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices for electrical system performance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 5 to 10 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience with SIMOPS works, Strong understanding of Oil & Gas International Codes and Standards, Proactive and team-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work effectively under pressure, Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
