Location – Erbil, Iraq – 12 weeks on/3 weeks off
Duration – End of December 2024 (There is potential for transfer on completion of this assignment).
Applicants must already have a valid SC which requires UK Nationality and 5 year foot print in the UK.
Please note this is not a tax-free assignment and you will be subject to UK tax for the duration of the assignment.
The Role
We seek an experienced Electrician to provide technical support for a project across Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites in Erbil, Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Working with and mentoring of Company selected sub-contractor on all elements of electrical installation
- Responsible for carrying out and completing electrical test & inspection works
- Inspection, installation, fault finding and repair of electrical installations and Fire Alarm systems
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and the KBR Zero Harm HSE policies
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with site safe systems of work
- Completing electrical installation reports, logbooks, quality assurance inspections, and all related paperwork, including risk assessments and method statements for associated electrical tasks
What We Need
- Experience and hold the qualification of City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing
- Experience and hold the qualification of UK Electrical Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671
- Familiar with Low Voltage electrical systems; 50 hz of various voltages
- Must have completed recognised apprenticeship within an electrical discipline
Desirable
- Working with CCTV installations
- Experience of installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems
- Experience in installation of stand alone power generators 500kvA
- Test and Commissioning / EICR and using NAPIT software
