Job Title: EMEA Regional Marketing & Packaging/Paper Expert

Primary Role:

The Regional Marketing & Packaging/Paper Expert (EMEA) is responsible for creating insights, understanding customer and industry needs, and contributing to growing existing regional accounts and winning new business in their respective market/region within Europe. This role will provide industry expertise to regional customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Regional Product Manager, to lead innovations that deliver added value to our customer base.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

  • Collecting market intelligence
  • Gather competitive intelligence for the commercial teams and assist in creating competitive assessment tools for sales.
  • Market Strategy
  • Support the global team with market segmentation.
  • Understand customer needs (lead VOC), provide insights, and develop new growth strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Product team, marketing, and sales in executing market strategy in the region.
  • Industry Expertise for Customer Growth
  • Be an expert in the Packaging & Paper market & applications through first-hand end-user experience with large accounts and working with corporate account leaders and their customers.
  • Provide leadership in creating differentiated customer value propositions and developing tools to enable the commercial team to deliver that value.
  • Act as the primary thought leader in the sector, including maintaining/updating case studies, white papers, presentations, webinars, and identifying relevant strategic partnerships.
  • Support sustainability efforts by integrating them into R&D, marketing activities, market analysis, new product introductions, and marketing materials where possible.
  • Coordinate expert networks in the region.
  • Product Solutions and Range
  • Support Solenis initiatives including Sustainability & Digital Platforms.
  • Partner for new product development opportunities (input to Innova process – NPIs) working with global marketing, relevant Product managers, and R&D teams.
  • Collaborate with innovation teams and sales to drive market validation, field testing, and launch of new products in the region.
  • Have technical and marketing accountabilities towards innovations.
  • Provide training to the salesforce in the region/cluster.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year undergraduate degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in Paper & Packaging is highly desirable.
  • Excellent internal and customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Managerial Responsibility:

  • This role has no formal managerial responsibility but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g., provides coaching, assigns work, provides input into hiring decisions, and evaluates performance).

Travel Requirement:

  • Regular travel may be required according to customer events and/or opportunities.
