MPH Consulting Services

We are looking for Geophysicist Services for one of our clients with the following details:

Location : Basra, Iraq

Work Scheme: Rotational, 4×4

Starting date : Aug 2024

Duration : 1 year, renewable

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Studies: Business or Engineering graduate.
  • Work Experience: 5+ years industry experience with strong experiences in seismic interpretation, geophysical acquisition in wells and geophysical/2G simulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Geology and Reservoir
  • Carbonate, mixt sandstones reservoirs and heavy oil experience.
  • Ability in developing good relationships within the internal departments of TTEEPRH, Projects teams, partners and authorities.
  • Ability to understand, explain and present complex technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences in a persuasive and convincing manner
  • Soft skills: Mindset project, anticipation and agility to adapt workstream, ability to listen, coordinate and facilitate, proactive behavior, resilience some times.
  • Team player and ability of transverse management; capability to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural team,
  • Languages: fluent in English, French and Arabic is a plus.

Activities

  • HSE: respect and promote the company group H3SE rules and culture, with a special focus on seismic acquisition and shallow hazard for well drilling. Ensure the adequate level of training for him and his team
  • Participate to follow-up of the 3D seismic supervised by the 3D integrated team supervision on site.
  • To define, implement and follow-up all necessary studies related to Geophysics matters, studies in HQ and/or in TEEPRH
  • Execute geophysical studies (petro-elastic model, interpretation seismic, processing data,….) in close collaboration with 2G, Subsurface operation and Reservoir
  • Execute and supervise geophysical operations in close collaboration with conctractor.
  • To ensure appropriate geophysical integration to the development of Ratawi project and near-by and upsides, as well as for well delivery.
  • To ensure quality, timely delivery and confidentiality of all the Geophysics related documentation produced (whatever its support)
  • To define and follow implementation of IT and GSR/IGEO needs concerning geophysical data.
  • Plan and ensure specialty and synthesis of the new data data acquired throughout the dilling campaign phase 1 and 2
  • Contract owner for geophysical data acquisitions and operations
  • Participate with internal entities the preparation of all required reporting and information to authorities or partners.
  • Technical relationships and sharing experiences with other operators and scouting

Accountabilities

  • Promote safety and sustainability culture within the project and lead by examplarity to have the team members and colleagues contributing
  • Assure compliance with the rules of 2G+R and ensure responsibilities of ”métier” reservoir as per guidance of GSR & OT HQ
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with Geology and Reservoir, Operations Geology, and Drilling & Completion to deliver the production.
  • SOW, SOR and supervision of the geophysical seismic acquisition and during well operations
  • Secure the dynamic data (digital) in close collaboration with IGEO GSR and accordingly to country risk and Iraq petroleum law
  • Ensure the successful creation of GSR entity within the new TEEPRH subsidiary including implementation of all Cie-EP-‘métier’ processes and initiatives. Ensure continuous improvement by focusing of lean actions.
  • Foster an innovative and engaging environment for maturing solutions while backing up solutions
  • Defend company’s positions and interests in front of partners, operators and authorities.
  • Provide the GSR Management entity with the elements it needs to make decisions on operated and OBO projects/assets.
  • Act as company’s representative (or alternate) as applicable in JVs meetings.
