Responsibilities

Main responsibilities :

• IT Systems Administration:

Administer and maintain servers, workstations, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems as needed.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted operation.

• Network Management:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Monitor network traffic, analyze data packets, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and security.

Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect against cyber threats.

• Cybersecurity:

Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and malware attacks.

Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.

Respond to security incidents, investigate security breaches, and implement remediation measures as needed.

• Technical Support:

Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving connectivity problems, and providing guidance on IT-related matters.

Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles to support end-user training and self-help resources.

• IT Infrastructure Management:

Manage IT infrastructure resources, including hardware, software licenses, and IT assets inventory.

Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and migrations to support business growth and technology advancements.

Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and IT contractors to procure IT equipment and services as needed

Requirements

Job requirements:

Must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an ICT Specialist, IT Systems Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong technical expertise in IT systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), server administration, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
