Looking for a Logistics Management Specialist opportunity at a place you can make a difference every day? Discover this great opportunity as part of the Global Logistics Augmentation and Staff Support (GLASS) team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command in Al Asaad Air Base, Iraq. Join an integrated government-industry team in support of multiple program functions. Specific tasks include the following: Operations and Plans, Desk Officer, ORSA, Training and Exercise, Automation/Database Management and Cost Management Support Services. You will provide a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations. Use your expertise and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in the world’s greatest Army.

  • This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.
  • This position is contingent upon your ability to successully attend and pass the requirements of the Contract Readiness Center (CRC) ), if applicable.
  • This position is contingent upon ability to obtain a VISA.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the requirements of development and refinement, technical reviews of requirements packets, and preparation of technical support for negotiation documents.
  • Monitor and trace ongoing, new and changing requirements, project schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare briefings, information papers, and attend meetings.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • United States Citizenship
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • An active DoD Secret clearance.
  • 10 years of directly related logistics experience. Five (5) Years should be directly related to procurement activities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills .
  • Ability to perform in-depth research of emerging policy, regulation, directives, industrial issues, monitor ongoing, new, and changing requirements.
  • Ability to monitor project schedules and performance metrics; prepare briefings and information papers; and attend meetings and teleconferenced.
  • Experience with requirements generation analysis of services.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
