As a member of the production department in the Zubair Field Operations Division , you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring assigned work within the plant results in safe and reliable operation.
- Facilitating and coordinating Shift Safety meetings / Job Briefings for all personnel on the same shift; promoting and ensuring a safe work environment, including use of Human Performance tools.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and policies for all employees working the same shift. Providing work direction regarding daily operations and maintenance activities for employees assigned to the same shift while working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
- Working overtime as required; working with the Section Head, Planner Schedulers, and Engineers to develop work packages for shift employees and determine material requirements as necessary.
- Accountable for reporting to the Section Head any equipment.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for the Boiler, Turbine, Generator and associated areas
- Providing work direction on related surveillance and start-up testing.
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Experience in supervisory positions in Power Plants or Oil & Gas industry
- Power Plant Operations experience
- Supercritical Boiler operating experience
- Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
- Management skills
- HSE basic courses
- Maintenance basic courses
- Engineering Degree, preferably in electrical discipline
- Power plant operations
- Transmission and distribution of electrical energy
- Knowledge of technical & contractual specifications for power plant generation
- Internal and international standards and best practices used within power plants
- Operational security
- Computer literate
