Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst plays a vital role in overseeing Information Technology (IT) projects for Embassy Baghdad, constituent posts in Erbil, and BDSC (Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center). This position involves coordinating administrative, project management, and operational programs, managing Microsoft Project schedules, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, assisting in problem-solving, and contributing to program and budget control planning.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages administrative, project management, and operational programs for IT projects.
  • Builds and manages Microsoft Project schedules for IT projects.
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Assists in problem-solving and execution of program goals.
  • Recommends procedures to establish controls and prepares reports.
  • Assists with program and budget control planning.
  • Prepares charts, graphs, and reports relevant to specific projects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT), management, business, or 5 years’ experience in related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v3) Foundation certified or equivalent. PMP certification preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project software.
  • Ability to provide clear directions, develop budgets, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the Mission.
  • Clearance Level Required: Secret
  • Ability to pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
