Summary:
The Network Engineer will design, implement, and work maintenance of the organization’s network, network design, architecture, protocols, and topology .
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks
- Establishing and operating network test facilities
- Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
- Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
- Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
- May supervise others.

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software.
- Customer service and solutions oriented.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- 5 – 10 years of related experience
- Extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructure is required.
- MUST have an ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to SCI
Preferred Qualifications:
- A professional certification, such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), also is highly desirable.
The salary range for this position is $100,000.00-$125,000.00 annually.
