As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance to be considered.
The Senior Network Structured Cabling Engineer oversees telecommunications and data network infrastructure projects for various entities including the Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC), International Zone Fiber Network (IZFN), Iraq Telecommunications and Post Company (ITPC), and the Prime Minister Network Operations Center (PMNOC). This role involves managing project teams, conducting site surveys, coordinating installations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, the Senior Network Structured Cabling Engineer provides technical expertise to support national security initiatives and collaborates with various United States Government (USG) agencies.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Network Structured Cabling Engineer: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Network Structured Cabling Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Leading project teams to conduct site surveys and produce drawings for network infrastructure upgrades and installations.
- Managing and overseeing telecommunication projects both within and outside of the Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC).
- Coordinating internal and external project aspects, creating project plans, and providing status reporting.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of multiple projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of cabling infrastructure.
- Acquiring and installing copper and fiber optic cabling, connectors, and cabinets.
- Operating test equipment and conducting troubleshooting activities.
- Conducting research on national security issues and technologies to support USG tenant agencies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Senior Network Structured Cabling Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of related work experience in lieu of education.
- Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) certification or equivalent.
- Experience installing and maintaining enterprise and municipal level Cisco network switches.
- Familiarity with supporting DOS, other USG agencies, and DOD IT/telecommunications systems utilizing the GoI IZFN.
- Experience coordinating IT/telecommunications projects directly with government entities.
- Top Secret clearance required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
