Major Functions

Collect and analyse the reliability data for all assets in the KM facility, support the Senior reliability engineer in setting the strategic goals for asset reliability improvements and selecting and deploying the predictive analytic tools, work and manage contractors to set up the analytic tool and run the condition monitoring program, work to identify the bad actors and lead the implementation of the Root Cause analysis related to equipment failures and breakdowns and suggest solutions, support the reliability team to develop the obsolescence register, asset life cycle, etc.

Essential Functions

Work Responsibilities and Planning

  • Lead a team of reliability technicians to collect and own the reliability data for all assets in KM site, run the analysis and develop daily, weekly, monthly report. Ensuring all data is accurately recorded, evaluated, and reported in the CMMS and other Systems as required.
  • Support the implementation of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) study, provide all required data and info to the contractor to conduct the study and issue the report.
  • Support the reliability team in setting the strategic goals and KPIs to measure the equipment performance and report on the KPIs monthly, quarterly, and annually, this shall include but not limited to all the reliability and availability factors KPIS such as MTTR, MTBF & MTTF for all critical assets.
  • Support Senior reliability engineer in working with contractor to select and set up the suitable analytic tools and run the analysis for all assets inside KM facility.
  • Identify the bad actors and lead the root cause analysis against (RCA) on equipment failures and submit practical solutions against the repeated failures to maximise the assets and plants uptime.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Team regarding the evaluation and analysis of all CBM activities, follow up corrective actions to any results indicating potential anomalies.
  • Responsible for the supervision, planning and execution of Condition Based Maintenance activities to include but not limited to, managing contractors on site for vibration surveys, pulsation studies, thermography survey to detect equipment failures and anomalies.
  • Support the reliability team to carry the sampling program for equipment lube oil and coolant fluid and all other type of sampling for equipment reliability and performance measurements. Ensure all CBM requirements are input into planning and scheduling process.
  • Create and maintains equipment monitoring PM plan. Monitors asset health and coordinates analysis of condition monitoring anomalies with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Coordinates and supports 3rd party inspections and repair services, when necessary, contributes to the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions for the completion of all CBM related tasks Drives the development of maintenance personnel in the understanding of relevant CBM processes and procedures.

Reporting and Communication

  • Reports to the Senior Reliability engineer, Maintenance Excellence Manager and Maintenance superintendent on all issues relating own responsibilities.
  • Participates in department daily meetings and reports on all activities.
  • Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all CreDan staff, Contractors, and Vendors.
  • Liaises closely with Production Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams in activity planning, engineering change and cost control.
  • Communicates with equipment vendors and outside suppliers for technical support.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participates in the Company Competence Assessment Program to facilitate Personal Development
  • Compiles information and conducts studies to identify areas for improvement of facilities and processes on a continuous basis.
  • Recommends improvement actions and practices to senior management.

Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Instrument and control is essential with appropriate and relevant experience in maintenance, reliability and integrity.
  • Vibration analysis Industry qualifications preferred.

Minimum Professional Experience Required

  • At least 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • In depth experience with analytic tools such as Aspen Tech, Aviva, Prognost, etc.
  • A demonstrable track record of experience in a similar position such as mechanical engineering, maintenance or asset integrity within the oil and gas industry is required.
  • Proficient in the use of Root Cause Analysis Techniques
  • Job holder must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate their ability to foster wider relationships.
  • Well-developed planning and organisational abilities
  • The ability to act with authority, demonstrate leadership skills and retain the confidence of the team.
  • Ability to logically assess a multiplicity of data, make key decisions and effectively communicate actions to members of the team and other parties.
  • Computer literate: Familiar with MS Office Suite and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Fully experienced in working with safety management systems and a basic understanding of local safety management legislation.
  • In-depth understanding of Oil & Gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
  • Expert Knowledge in vibration analysis and lube oil analysis.
  • Excellent experience in a CMMS system, SAP preferred.
  • Experience in Pre commissioning , commissioning and start up is an advantage for a candidate
