Essential responsibilities and daily duties will include:
- Develop and implement a logistics and supply chain management plan that includes procedures for the procurement, transportation, storage, shipping, and distribution of all materials, equipment, and supplies required for this project. The plan shall include a detailed description of each item to be procured, estimated costs, quantity, and delivery dates.
- Ensure that all materials, equipment, and supplies are procured and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner and shall maintain complete and accurate records of all logistics and supply chain activities.
- Ensure that all materials imported into the country comply with the requirements set forth by the Iraqi government and all applicable laws and regulations. This includes obtaining all necessary export, import, and customs documentation, and complying with the Levy Exemption Waiver (LEW) process for all materials being imported into the country.
- Obtain all necessary documentation and approvals for the exemption of levies on the imported materials, per applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide regular progress reports to the customer TPOC regarding logistics and supply chain activities.
- Exercise quality control in all logistics and supply chain activities to ensure that all materials, equipment, and supplies meet the required specifications and standards.
- Implement a system for identifying and resolving any logistics or supply chain issues that may arise during the project.
- Liaison with local authorities, logistics, shipyard managers and shops, and U.S. based project personnel to report status of logistics, maintenance, facilities, and/or operational solutions to specific issues encountered.
- Support and coordinate transportation and necessary logistics tasking to ensure efficient operation of the project in-country.
- Participate in required meetings including weekly teleconferences and Work Definition Conferences with program stakeholders.
- Comply with all Contract Deliverable Requirement List (CRDL) requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four (4) years of experience is required in knowledge of Navy procurement methods and familiarity with the Navy stock system.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25%).
- Travel may be required up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience sourcing legacy material.
- Foreign Military Sales experience
