Job Description

Wood is looking to recruit a TAR Coordinator E&I in Basra, Iraq on 4 weeks on 4 weeks off rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the TAR Team Lead towards safe and effective delivery of the TAR program, working to TAR best practices.
  • Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture. Lead by example.

  • Compilation of work-packs for turnarounds.
  • Manage the scope of all E&I activities involving multi-disciplined activity that includes confined space entry, working at height, and other high hazard activities.
  • Involvement with Management of Change (MOC) process to develop effective engineering change solutions through good communication & co-ordination with engineering.
  • Monitor progress against the procurement plan & work schedule. Manage the avoidance of scope creep.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities resulting from emergent works during TAR execution or in the event of procurement slippage.
  • Ability to manage concurrent activities safely & effectively and de-conflict SIMOPS.
  • Ability to communicate well with Maintenance, Projects, Engineering & other stakeholders to ensure timely TAR readiness.
  • Ability to communicate well with Operations to develop culture of best practise in E & I isolations, process isolations, de-energizing systems and equipment for consistency of safe equipment shutdown preparation & aid prompt pre-commissioning.
  • Identify and coordinate E & I interfacing activities with other disciplines and OSBL asset owners.
  • Proven track record in ensuring vendors with required expertise, spares, products, consumables, scaffolding, vehicular and other enabling logistics are at the worksite when required.
  • Manage all aspects of TAR from start to finish including mobilisation to and de-mob from worksite. Strictly in accordance with good oilfield practise, ROO standards, codes, procedures, quality benchmarks.
  • Facilitate audits, inspections and safety observation tours. Ensuring follow up actions are closed out correctly and promptly.
  • Ensure Tool Box Talks are structured, recorded & add value.
  • Drive consistency in TAR preparation process using checklists and other tools to track readiness against agreed milestones.
  • Ensure reports use and comply with fundamental procedures and protocols of safe systems of work commensurate with shutdown tasks.
  • Investigation Team member on HSE incidents.
  • Develop TAR schedule with Planner for effective delivery.
  • Working with procurement, ensure management of spares and materials. Prioritise and identify long lead items in advance.
  • Management of contractor performance, monitoring and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years’ experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas maintenance & engineering environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a TAR environment.
  • HNC qualification or higher in relevant technical discipline with strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Good knowledge of asset management system (CMMS)
  • Work to the highest personal & professional standards to achieve or exceed set objectives.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and embrace clients’ charter values.
  • Foster good relationships and team working ethic with contractor groups to promote safe working practices and efficiency.
  • Experience of working in an integrated team from diverse locations required.
  • Experience of Safe Systems of Work.
