MPH Consulting Services

We are looking for Utility & Interface Superintendent for one of our clients with the following details:

Location : Basrah, Iraq

Duration : 12 months, renewable.

Rotation : 28 days ON, 28 days OFF

Tentative Start date : Jun 2024

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10+ Years
  • Qualification: Degree in Building Service or any other related field
  • Professional experience: 20 years minimum.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial systems.
  • SIMOPS
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Language: English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus
  • Previous experience in similar work environment will be an added advantage

Activities

Required

In particular, among his/her activities, the job holder is required to with the support of his supervision & other system leads:

  • Participate to KOM with Contractor/Subcontractor with respect to Discipline matters;
  • Attend daily site briefing(TBT).
  • Oversee the coordination of construction works and ensuring that they are in accordance with priorities and plans
  • Inspecting construction sites frequently and ensuring that manpower and resources are adequate.
  • Plans required work activities to ensure that tools, equipment, and materials are available
  • Ensure all construction/fabrications documents are verified and compliant to technical requirements;
  • Ensure the timely completion of the works and monitor closely EPC Contractor performance, work schedule and progress;
  • Validate or correct the monthly site progress;
  • Ensure that all required inspections, audits or equipment certification required are performed in time and that all corrective action plan is properly implemented by EPC Contractor;
  • Maintain good relationships with EPC Contractor supervision team, but being strict to achieve the project objectives.
  • Organise and participate to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular Construction meetings related to his discipline, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours;
  • Participate to all Construction / site meetings with EPC Contractor/Subcontractors;
  • Ensure that uncompleted activities are properly tracked and recorded under the punch list system;
  • Stop the work when necessary & report immediately to Contractor any anomaly, violation & unsafe practice
