Job Summary: The Adjunct Instructor Computer Science position is housed within the Department of Natural & Applied Sciences, College of Arts & Sciences at AUIB. Reporting to the head of the department, this role involves teaching basic computer science courses to undergraduate students as per the semester assignments. Key responsibilities include attending departmental meetings to stay updated on policies and developments, assisting in the development and updating of course materials and curricula in collaboration with full-time faculty, adhering to the university’s teaching guidelines, and maintaining high professional and ethical standards throughout all interactions.

- Teach basic computer science courses to undergraduate students as assigned each semester.
- Attend departmental meetings as required to stay informed about departmental policies and developments.
- Assist with the development and updating of course materials and curricula in collaboration with full-time faculty.
- Understand and comply with the university’s teaching guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- Uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions with students, faculty, and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in self-directed or professional development to keep abreast of the latest trends and methodologies in computer science education.
A master’s degree in computer science from a reputable college or university.
Experience: A minimum of two years of postsecondary teaching experience in a college or university setting.

- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and collaboration abilities.
