Job Description
Wood is currently recruiting for a Documents and Records Controller to be based in Basra, Iraq to be based on a 28 Days on / 28 Days Off Rotation.
Responsibilities

Document Management
- Receive, review, and process incoming technical documents.
- Ensure all documents are properly classified, labeled, and indexed.
- Maintain a structured and organized document filing system, both physical and electronic.
- Update and revise documents as necessary, following established version control procedures.
Document Control
- Implement and enforce document control policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track document revisions, approvals, and changes.
- Ensure that documents are accessible to authorized personnel while maintaining security and confidentiality.
- Conduct regular document audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Document Distribution
- Facilitate the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of documents to the appropriate recipients.
- Maintain distribution logs and records.
Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with departments to ensure that documents meet quality and compliance standards.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
Archiving And Retrieval
- Establish procedures for document archiving and retention.
- Safeguard and archive historical documents as per company policies and legal requirements.
- Retrieve documents as needed for audits, reference, or other purposes.
Training And Support
- Provide training and support to employees on document control processes and systems.
- Address any document-related inquiries and provide guidance to users.
Technology Utilization
- Utilize document management software and tools to streamline document control processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in document management technology.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in a relevant field
Technical Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in document management or related field.
- Strong background experience using ACONEX.
Personal Skills
- Bi-Lingual (English / Arabic) ability is essential.
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of document management systems and software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (if applicable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
