Are you an experienced and qualified Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer? Tearfund Eurasia and North Africa has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified MEAL Officer in Iraq.
The MEAL officer role is responsible for managing operations of projects’ MEAL system to support project management and programme quality. This role will oversee the systematic collection and analysis of objectively verifiable evidence to monitor the country’s programme progress to meet the objectives of the Tearfund Iraq strategic plan .The position will be required to establish & mainstream MEAL systems for direct and indirect implementations through partners. . This position will also be leading on Accountability processes within the TF Iraq projects, and will coordinate all MEAL tasks & communication with internal & external entities and largely support the TF Iraq donor reporting and data management.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Development Management/International Development/Statistics or relevant field.
- Minimum of 4-6 experience in the field of MEAL coordinated role, and experience on developing country level MEAL framework and systems.
- Proven experience of working in large and diverse teams;
- Proven experience in establishing a fully functional MEAL system for an organization that’s supported by bilateral & multilateral international donors.
Skills/Abilities required:
- A high level of verbal and written skills in English and Arabic.
- Experience in Local partner mapping and partnering as subs and project implementation. Desirable.

- Proven experience in data analysis softwares such as PowerBi, excel
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Sound communication skills; tact and diplomacy are essential.

The position will be based in Erbil, Iraq with 60% travel required to the Field location within the country.
