The Plumbing Superintendent manages the Civil Engineering (CE) Plumbing department functions including facilities O&M as well as plumbing renovation and construction projects on Balad AB.

POSITION IN ORGANISATION

  • Labor Category: USN
  • Reports to: CE Manager

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Manages and takes responsibility for the performance of the facility’s plumbing OM&R program and construction projects progress.
  • Managing, training, and developing a work force of 30- 40 multinational personnel.
  • Responsible for safeguarding all physical resources assigned to the plumbing department.
  • Responsible for developing estimates, schedules and plans for minor construction projects and OM&R.
  • Works closely with the supply management team to ensure proper material/equipment procurements and stock levels.
  • Works with the plumbing team and quality assurance team to ensure all project standards and requirements are met.
  • Manages and controls cost, ensuring the plumbing department stays within budget.
  • Accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly reports.
  • Ensures adherence to OSHA regulations, identifies, and mitigates risk.
  • Coordinates work with other trade superintendents and the customer.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • State Journeyman license is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred

Skills, Abilities, And Years Of Experience

  • 4 years’ experience managing plumbing teams or relevant.
  • Experience working overseas on U.S Government contracts.
  • Experience working with multinational personnel.
  • Preferred 10 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of Plumbing installation and the technical aspects of the trade combined with a strong knowledge and ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Able to complete estimates, manage time effectively, prioritize accordingly along with having good problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills.
  • Able to use or learn Microsoft Suite
  • Valid HOR driver’s license is required.
