ServiceNow Developer

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The ServiceNow Developer takes the lead in identifying, refining, and implementing business processes for the Department of State. They collaborate with customers and subject matter experts to develop and re-engineer processes, providing application support for the configuration, customization, and administration of the ServiceNow ITSM Product Suite. This role involves deploying core functionality, generating workflows and integrations, and working as part of an agile scrum team. The ServiceNow Developer must adapt to dynamic environments, design technical solutions, and provide subject matter knowledge.

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for ServiceNow Developer: Pay commensurate with experience.

ServiceNow Developer Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing application support for ServiceNow ITSM Product Suite
  • Configuring platform capabilities like Knowledge Management and Service Request Management
  • Deploying core functionality in ServiceNow system
  • Generating workflows and integrations with latest ServiceNow technologies
  • Working as part of an agile scrum team
  • Managing multiple tasks and ensuring quality standards
  • Transforming business needs into tangible items within ServiceNow
  • Collaborating with process managers to understand business functionality
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

ServiceNow Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Minimum three years of recent experience as an analyst or developer
  • Bachelor’s degree or eight years work experience in related field
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification required
  • Extensive knowledge in ITIL and ITSM processes
  • Hands-on experience in ServiceNow configuration and administration
  • Ability to customize workflows and UI Scripts using JavaScript
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • ITIL Intermediate certification
    • Prior experience in a consulting environment, preferably within the public sector
  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator and Implementer certifications
  • ServiceNow IT Business Management/Project and Portfolio Management experience
  • US Citizenship and Secret clearance required
  • Clearance Level Required: Secret
  • Ability to pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
