GLOBAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

 

Under the responsibility of the Access to Rehab Project Officer for Anbar, the Access to Rehab Field Worker will support the accessibility to rehabilitation services of vulnerable population living in Anbar.

 

RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION

 

Assessment & Strategy

 

  • Contribute to the design of and conduct needed assessments to implement “accessibility to rehabilitation services” activity (Barriers to access rehabilitation services assessment, cash feasibility and risks assessment, transport market assessment, financial service providers mapping and assessment, case studies, etc.).
  • Complete and update mapping of available services useful for HI beneficiaries (social, humanitarian, economical) in its area of intervention.
  • Be familiar with rights and regulations, specific to people with disabilities.
  • Update HI knowledge in terms of transport services and practices, available financial services and access to rehabilitation services, in its area of intervention.
  • Contribute to the development of the HI strategy to support the access to rehabilitation services in Anbar.

 

 

Beneficiaries’ identification, follow-up and discharge

 

  • Ensure beneficiaries’ selection process is in line with HI guidelines and regulations.
  • Conduct the necessary screenings to determine beneficiary eligibility to HI support.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions about available services dedicated to people with disability, referral system and inclusion.
  • Follow-up each beneficiary of the access to rehabilitation services activity from the identification till discharge (Establish contact, act as focal point, update individual file, provide identified support, follow-up on referrals, check access to service status, liaise with external service providers, provide information about rights and tips to access available services, etc.).
  • Support the Project Officer with relevant logistics and administrative paperwork and arrangement as per HI guidelines and regulations (procurement request, movement request, cash request and forecast, equipment use, etc.).
  • Apply all HI guidelines and regulations in terms of beneficiary protection/interaction.
  • Apply all HI guidelines and regulations in terms of security management.

 

 

Monitoring and Reporting

 

  • Conduct regular monitoring as per HI guidelines and regulations.
  • Collect all sources of verification as per HI guidelines and regulations.
  • Ensure data collection and entry as per HI guidelines and regulations.
  • Report any issues faced on the field.
  • Provide relevant feedback and analysis to improve the access to rehabilitation service activity.
  • Contribute to the analysis of the data extracted from project monitoring tools.
  • Submit required data for internal and external reporting.

 

 

Coordination and Communication

 

–  Maintain a strong link with the health team (Physiotherapist Trainer, Project Officer VA)

–  Maintain a strong coordination with support services (Administration, Finance, HR, Logistics, etc.).

–  Ensure appropriate and effective communication and collaboration with any external stakeholders (authorities, communities’ representatives, beneficiaries, health facilities staff, financial service providers, humanitarian community, etc.) in the area of intervention.

 

 

Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

 

 

 

HIERARCHICAL RELATIONSHIP

 

Line management: Access to Rehab Project Officer

Head of Department: Project Manager Victim Assistance

Management: No

Collaboration with: Collaboration with the health team (Physiotherapist Trainer and Victim Assistance Project Officer), the support services teams (Logistics, Administration, HR, Finance, etc.), and the MEAL team.

 

 

TIME SCHEDULE & DUTY STATION

 

The working hours are the following

 

Sunday till Thursday, from 8.00 to 16.30 PM with 30 minutes lunch break. The work duration is fixed but the working hours can vary according to the planning of activities. It can be exceptionally requested to work on Friday or Saturday. In that case a day off is planned between Sunday and Thursday during the previous or following week.

 

Note that working time can go up to 48 hours per week if it is required by the volume of activities and by the line manager. In that case the overtime will be considered as recovery time to be planned by the line manager in the next days.

 

Duty station

This position will be based in Ramadi and will require frequent travels all over Anbar governorate as well as some travel to HI Baghdad office.

Qualifications &  Skills


REQUIRED PROFILE

 

Knowledge

 

Education: Bachelor degree in social science or equivalent

Languages: Excellent Arabic (mandatory), English (strong asset)

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in social work
  • Experience with an international NGO is desirable but not mandatory.

 

Know-how (practices) & Interpersonal skills (attitudes)

 

  • Strong communication and empathy skills
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Basic computer skills demonstrated experience in utilization of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
