IRC224520 – LEAD PIPING/ MECHANICAL ENGINEER
At Eni, we are looking for a Lead Piping/Mechanical Engineer within Eni Iraq in Zubair Field Basra – Iraq. You will be responsible for providing specialist engineering expertise for pipelines and interconnecting piping design, from conceptual up to detailed engineering and execution, for onshore field development projects.
As a member of the project engineer department Eni Iraq you will be responsible for:
- Defining design premises of onshore pipelines
- Defining pipelines route
- Coordinating internal and subcontracted pipelines / piping design
- Engineering documents review in compliance with Company specifications and international standards
- Ensuring engineering activities are performed in line with the project plan and within the approved budget
- Performing site surveys and develop field engineering solutions
- Construction works supervision
- Material selection and specification
- Defining materials bill of quantities (BOQ) according to scope of work, compare BOQs with available materials identifying materials shortage and defining corrective actions in line with project plan
- ITT preparation (technical specification) and bid technical evaluation
- Planning, review and follow-up of pipeline purchasing, construction and commissioning
- Supporting construction and commissioning team reviewing engineering documents for hydrotests, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Ensuring timely approval of pipelines / interconnecting piping engineering deliverables
- Ensuring that contractor pipeline / piping design and specifications meet project requirements, Company standards and industry best practices
- Supporting pipelines installation team in terms of coordinating an supervising the pipelines and piping activities during the execution, construction and pre-commissioning
- Developing pipelines / piping technical solutions for interfaces between work packages / contractors assuring overall consistency, compliance with project approved plans and integrity
- Supporting work package manager / construction manager preparing and reviewing materials bill of quantities, comparisons with stock / purchased materials in compliance with work program
- Preparing technical and contractual specifications for tender of piping/mechanical material
- Reviewing and approving mechanical/piping engineering contractors documentation
- Reviewing Designs
- Reviewing and evaluating mechanical/piping parts for EPC/Engineering service bids
- Supporting engineering managers for planning and monitors project execution
- Providing technical support to construction/commissioning team
This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:
- Engineering degree
- experience in O&G industry or related construction industry
- Adequate experience in pipeline and piping engineering for onshore Oil & Gas EPC projects
- Experience in overseas assignments
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Proactive HSE attitude
- Delivery oriented engineering abilities
- Self-sufficient, problem-solving attitude with ability to work under limited line management supervision
- Management of multiple tasks with limited timeframe
- Adequate knowledge of local and international codes and regulations for onshore O&G industry pipelines and piping
- Proven stakeholder management skills with technical interfaces (internal and external)
- Confidence with standard, code, computer software packages like AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION, GLOBAL MAPPER, ARCGIS and 3D MODEL (NAVISWORK), PIPESIM
