Description


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ï‚· Work with the projects' staff and Accountants to prepare procurement plans
and making sure they are followed according to the schedule.
ï‚· Prepare purchasing files with requesters, price lists, status of delivery, supplier
information, and storage and maintenance records.
ï‚· Prepare and updated inventory lists.
ï‚· Purchase all projects' necessary requirements, checking all items or goods to
ensure quality and quantity.
ï‚· Assist in updating and improving the procurement guidelines.
ï‚· Develop procedures for receiving, transportation and tracking of projects'
materials to optimize efficiency.
ï‚· Process purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders for equipment, goods,
services, etc.
ï‚· Evaluate obtained offers from potential suppliers in order to get the best value
for money.
ï‚· Monitor the market for price and quality changes, and keep files for all contacts
of suppliers and advise Accountants about changes.
ï‚· Ensure that all procurements are in line with the Wchan's regulations and
good practice procedures.

ï‚· Arranges training halls, transportation, stationery, accommodation and food
during training courses, workshops and educational seminars in liaison with
the Office Manager.
ï‚· Prepare and update asset lists twice per year.
ï‚· Checks and maintains office assets on weekly basis.
ï‚· Other relevant duties.


Qualifications


Job Requirements:
ï‚· University degree: preferably in Accounting or Administration.
ï‚· At least two years of relevant work experience as particularly with NGOs or UN
agencies.
ï‚· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
ï‚· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
ï‚· Good knowledge of written and spoken Kurdish, Arabic and English.
ï‚· Strong interpersonal skills.
ï‚· Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
ï‚· Ability to analyse and interpret data and to track performance against program
indicators.
ï‚· Ability to travel to field sites.
ï‚· Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a
changing environment.
ï‚· Ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures.
ï‚· Ability to work independently and as a team member.
