This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management/Registrar

Job Purpose:

The Enrollment Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enrollment Management frontline staff and support the growth and development of the staff through developmental direction, feedback, training, and goal development respective to their work. The Manager will regularly hold one-on-one and team meetings, and ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed, ensuring high levels of customer service are provided.

Areas of Accountabilities: Main Activities

Student Recruitment

  1. Conducting market-specific research and analysis.
  2. Development of communications collateral for all channels to increase recruitment and conversions.
  3. Manage and set the schedule of recruitment activities both in-person and electronically. This includes reporting, analysis, and
  4. strategizing to reach goals.
  5. Independent allocation and expenditure decisions regarding the budget.
  6. Responsible for a high ROI for budget and resources utilized.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to host high-quality information sessions and Open Houses.
  8. Hiring and supervisory responsibility for Student Recruitment Officers.
  9. Coach on how to leverage communication platforms to increase applications of target students, conversion, and retention of newly enrolled students.
  10. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with counsellors/officers at target schools.
  11. Planning and execution of targeted visits and in-market event planning.
  12. Identify and develop proposals for new opportunities to enhance market share and presence.
  13. Schedule and deliver training to the enrollment team.
  14. Prepare the enrollment system for launch.
  15. Oversight of third-party agents/representatives.

Admissions

  1. Advise prospective students on the University’s programs, curriculum, calendars, performance outcomes and financial.
  2. considerations.
  3. Collects and analyzes complex data and information regarding admission, registration, and online processes.
  4. Assists in developing and administering university policies and procedures for the admission and registration of all students,
  5. including new, transfer, former, continuing, credit, and non-credit students.
  6. Oversees the issuing of student/staff identification cards and related equipment and supplies.
  7. Execution of the onboarding process for new students and parents.

Leadership and Administration

  1. Supervises front-line Enrollment Management staff and provides operational support for admission, registration, and related activities.
  2. Manages the activities of Enrollment Management to include planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating projects and services impacting the university from an admission/registration perspective.
  3. Oversees shift management and staff scheduling.
  4. Assists in the development of communication plans for admission and the enrollment of students.
  5. Provides training to frontline staff to ensure superior customer service (student information systems, policies and procedures, communication skills, customer services, etc.).
  6. Monitors components of the department budget, ensuring compliance with applicable restraints.
  7. Implements and allocates resources following budget approval.
  8. Resolves complex student and technical issues as required.
  9. Carry out other assigned duties for the benefit of the overall enrollment team.

Job Requirements:

A: Educational Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related

B: Minimum Experience:

  1. 5 years of progressive experience related to the role of student recruitment and student advising experience in higher education admission/registration, or student services, including two years of supervisory experience.
  2. Experience with database/student information systems (preferably PeopleSoft Campus Solutions).

C: Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  1. Proven skills from market research to strategy development, to objective setting, to performance management, to budget development, and monitoring and maintenance.
  2. Record of generating new business, building relationships in existing and new markets.
  3. A strong understanding of student market trends, needs, and key influencers.
  4. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure and maintain relevant proficiency and knowledge.
  5. Experience in working with CRM systems, marketing communications and strategy, especially social media.
  6. Strong communication and presentations skills to compose and deliver presentations, write up announcements, emails, letters, etc. to various audiences.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with counsellors, agents, alumni, industry professionals, students, and parents.
  8. Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task handling several projects at once, and accuracy.
  9. Demonstrated experience in managing teams.
  10. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  11. Be a self-starter, who is flexible working independently under generalized supervision, and contributing to a team environment.
  12. Effective organizational and time management skills.
  13. Experience developing content for a range of audiences.
  14. Proficient skill in MS Office.
  15. Ability to attend occasional evening and weekend events.

Additional skills that will be strongly considered:

  1. Fluency in the English language is required while fluency in other language will be considered an asset.
  2. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or another SIS.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in integrity, respect and inclusion, adaptability, knowledge and thinking skills, and self-awareness and professionalism.
  4. Experience using business intelligence tools.
