Description


Summary of Position:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning and oversight of the
assigned project. This includes managing personnel and budget, clinical oversight in
coordination with clinical staff, and representing Wchan in service planning
meetings with the government as well as local and international agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ï‚· Develops and implements a project work plan, in consultation with Wchan
Director.
ï‚· Assist in recruiting personnel, as required, in consultation with the Board of
Director.
ï‚· Provides oversight to the program staff, including Field, Admin, Finance and
Clinical staff.
ï‚· Maintains appropriate relationships with the government entities, non-
governmental organizations, and other actors.
ï‚· Oversees logistic preparations, in coordination with the Office Manager.
ï‚· Planning and organizing courses, workshops and seminars in cooperation
with other members of the technical team.
ï‚· Planning, organizing and supervising field activities.
ï‚· Coordinates with the Clinical Supervisor and Office Manager for arranging
administrative issues related to the training courses, workshops and
seminars, and field activities.
ï‚· Active participation in program meetings dealing with organization goals and
strategies.
ï‚· Monitoring project performance in cooperation with other staff.
ï‚· Schedule regular meetings with technical staff.
ï‚· Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports and submitting them in a
timely manner to the Director.
ï‚· Other relevant duties.


Qualifications


ï‚· University degree in the fields of health management, psychosocial or related
fields.
ï‚· At least three years of professional experience in project
coordination/management particularly with NGOs or UN agencies.
ï‚· Ability to analyse and interpret data and to track performance against
program indicators.
ï‚· Fluency in written and spoken Kurdish, Arabic and English languages.
ï‚· Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
ï‚· Ability to travel to field sites.
ï‚· Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a
changing environment.
ï‚· Ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures.
ï‚· Ability to work independently and as a team member.
